Two weeks ago my local pottery supply store gave me a few different glazes to try out. In a previous post I talked about a certain brand of glaze which didn’t live up to the company’s advertisements. So in order to try the glazes first I need to crank out some test pottery and bisk them in a kiln. My real end goal is to sell my art and pottery online at Esty or some other venue.
Below are the items I crafted in my basement/laundry room/clay studio. 🙂
Here is the work table prepped and ready to go. The Svartálfar would be so proud.
Here is the haul for the week. Two candle holders, one wand stand, four wall mountable protection rune stalves, and one wall mountable list of the Nine Noble Virtues…
To the left four protection rune stalves against evil spirits. On the right the list of Nine Noble Virtues.
Since Frey had a wand of awesomeness, and I crafted one last year, I wanted to honor the Vanir God by making a stand for my wand.
An altar candle holder in honor of Odin’s ravens Huginn and Muninn.
I’m not sure if the runes will survive the kiln firing, but again these are just test pieces.
This altar candle holder features the World Serpent, Jormungandr.
Playing around with runes.
That’s all for now. If you have any questions or comments please leave them in comments section below.
